New Barns

The upper barn was built in 2004. On the lower level the farm has 10 stalls, 5 on each side with a cement center aisle, tack room, feed room, and water hydrants at both ends. On the right side the stalls have dutch doors, and on the left side each stall has a window. This barn has a great cross breeze, a lot of natural light, and added features including hay storage, kitchenette, and an office area.

The lower barn was added in 2007 with the Indoor Arena and separated from the riding area by a barrier wall. There is inside access from the barn to the riding arena through a large sliding door. The barn has a well lit open wash bay, extra large insulated tack room, and a feed room. The wash bay has an over head hose to help keep the it off the floor and away from the feet of the horse. Large Indoor Riding Arena

Our newest addition at Shady Dell Stables is our Indoor Riding Arena. This new building is well ventilated, insulated and lit with natural light and arena lighting. The riding arena is a full 75 feet wide by 152 feet long, with stone dust footing. Along with the arena, the new building offers an additional 10 spacious stalls with rubber mat flooring, large tackroom and open wash bay. This addition makes our facility a pleasant, full functioning, world class experience for both you and your horse.

Outdoor Arena

The outdoor arena has been reconstructed with a beautiful new 4-board wooden fence, latching gate, enlarged riding area and new sand/stone footing.

Visitors and families will be especially comfortable seated in our new elevated picnic grove overlooking the outdoor arena. The view is outstanding!

With the existing drainage system and base, the arena footing dries quickly after rain, and is shaded in the late afternoon offering a comfortable place to ride during the summer months.

Bridle Path Trail

You will find trails surrounding our 35 acres of scenic woodland and pasture, and connecting to neighboring fields and woods open for riding. The paths offer a variety of different terrain and surroundings that help to condition your horse and develop the confidence and experience needed to ride just about anywhere. A few examples of things you will find on our trails include a wooden bridge, stream crossing, fallen timber, and some hills offering both steep and gradual inclines.
